Welcome, to The Music of Life Column, published in One Thousand Trees magazine. Some of the most important connections of our lives, those we form with ourselves throughout life, as well as those we form with our families and friends, are being lost in this modern world of “social” media, minimalism, and keeping up with society. I hope, through this column, to remind my readers of all that matters, and help them re-establish their bonds with life, memories, mementos, and traditions.
A little while ago, I came across an incredible video on facebook about gait training for Parkinson’s patients using music. Now, if you have read any of my previous columns, or know anything about me, you know that I believe music is a powerful force for all of our lives. I know a lot about the healing power of music, but even I was amazed by the transformation of this patient. (Click HERE to watch the video!)
